This verse is from Rumi(1207-1273)'s Masnavi-Ma'navi, a masterpiece of Persian literature.
Rumi’s poem:
**"Speaking the same language brings kinship and connection.
With strangers, man feels bound and constrained.
Many a Hindu and Turk speak the same tongue,
While two Turks may feel like strangers to one another.
The language of intimacy is something else entirely,
For empathy surpasses mere words of kinship.
Beyond speech, gesture, and written record,
The heart gives rise to countless interpreters."**

SaBa's unique Persian calligraphy style, Siyah Mashq, reflects her architectural background and expertise in Persian calligraphy. With a master’s degree in architecture from Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy and the prestigious Momtaz certificate in Nastaliq and Shekasteh-Nastaliq calligraphy from Mashhad, Iran; her work blends structure with poetic elegance. SaBa’s art delves into profound life concepts, inspired by Persian poetry and composition, aiming to bring beauty, inspiration, and a sense of purpose to people's life. The poem is chosen to represent part of life that individuals can explore deeper within themselves, encouraging self-reflection and personal growth, leaving a lasting impact on those who encounter them.
